Release Date Set For "lost" Beach Boys LP



The original recordings of legendary Beach Boys album Smile "Lost" to be released this fall, 44 years after its first reason to get out.

Smile sessions were recorded in 1966, but the album was left unfinished after co-founder, Brian Wilson suffered an emotional breakdown.

It would have been followed Pet Sounds of the group, widely regarded as one of the greatest albums ever.

Smile Sessions will be available from October 31.

The sessions were recorded in 1966 and early 1967. Some of the songs were recorded at the same time, Pet Sounds.


"Cousin, Brian had his creative peak in the Sessions," says the singer Mike Love. "I knew nothing, which is close to pop music."

The eccentricity of Brian Wilson during the recording sessions were reduced in the folklore group.

The four songs written in a 80 square meters living sandbox Wilson installed "once again feel the beach and the ocean."

To follow the session musicians harmonized on a variety of plant foods such as chewing a carrot from a Paul McCartney.

During the singing of the fire - part of an "Elements" suite - Wilson Studio and set the bucket on the fire and sent to a toy shop fire helmet used in the orchestra.

The project was abandoned in the middle of Wilson's work schedule and punish the use of drugs, gang fights and friction between the band and its label.

Some songs smile subsequently appeared in various forms of singles, albums and later bootlegs.

In 2004, Brian Wilson re-record a solo album release, but the original remained in session times.

The next version will be "an approximation of what the album should be completed Smile," says the record company EMI.

A box will also include alternate takes, studio chatter and song drafts.
