Sir Tom Jones, Monaco Hospital Health Scare



Singer Sir Tom Jones has canceled a concert Saturday night in Monaco by order of a physician, was confirmed.

His spokesman said Sir Tom, 71, suffered from severe dehydration, but denied media reports of a heart problem before.

He spent Saturday night at the hospital where Princess Grace Hospital in Monte Carlo, where he was said to be so.

The Welsh star performances, Saturday at Monte Carlo would be the last of a three-month tour.




Many of the shows was a place of "struggling with the high summer heat," says an official statement.

"Sir Tom was ordered by doctors not to perform Monte Carlo last night due to severe dehydration.

"It was very disappointing for Tom, the group and everyone associated with this trip," the statement said.

"There are no heart problems, as has been reported in the press."

Weight Loss

In a June interview on BBC Radio 2 Chris Evans Breakfast Show Sir Tom told how he had lost 2ST (12.7 kg), after going to a dietician.

He put his weight loss success to the cutting of alcohol for two months and eat healthy foods.

Veteran performer spoke to a busy summer schedule, performing in several festivals.

Born Thomas Jones Woodward, June 7, 1940 in South Wales valleys Treforest, Sir Tom began singing at a young age for family reunions, weddings, and her mother Donna Guild meetings.

At 16 he left school, working nights in a paper mill and was the leather-clad singer Tommy Scott and the Senators, but they failed to achieve a great success.

Then he was spotted by London-based manager, Gordon Mills, who recognized its potential, see his second single, it is not uncommon to be a great success.
