News International chief James Murdoch dropped by $ 6 million (€ 3.7 m) bonus, citing "the current controversy over the" hacking of the phone is the News of the World.
His father, head of News Corp. Rupert, received $ 12.5 million (7.7 million pounds) bonus. His total remuneration for the year June 30 was $ 33.3m (£ 20.5), up to 47%.
James Murdoch saw his salary to increase by 74% to 17 million, but said the lower premium was "what to do."

James Murdoch, deputy director of operations News Corp., said in his statement: "In light of the current controversy over the New World, I rejected the bonus that the company has chosen to entrust me.
"While measures of financial performance and operational when the decision was based premiums are not involved in this case, I think the dropout rate is what to do.
"I look at the compensation committee in the future if no premium may be appropriate at a later date," he said.
Resignation
Details of the salary package was released in control applications before the annual meeting of News Corp, next month.
News Corp. Vice Chase Carey saw his salary increase from 16% to $ 30.2 million.
Same time, News Corp. also announced on Friday that his long-director, Thomas Perkins resigned.
Mr. Perkins, a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, said that in 80 years, it was time to move.
He said the company would not be octogenarians his advice - "if one of them owns a company that Rupert is not so."
Mr. Perkins said the decision to leave had nothing to do with the case of phone-hacking.
